Who We Are
Family Owned Over Generations
Arctic Ice is a family owned ice company that has proudly served the greater St. Louis, MO community for over 50 years. The business began in 1966 when our founders, Jerry and Donna Camenzind, saw a growing need for a reliable local ice supplier. Working out of the back of their family restaurant, they purchased their first ice machine and began delivering ice to nearby businesses. Over the years, the company has grown into a full scale operation with the capacity to produce up to 270 tons of ice per day and service more than 3,500 customers across Missouri and Southern Illinois. The company remains family owned and is now led by their children: Steve, Chris, Doug, Mike, & Mark.
Our story
From a Restaurant Back Room To a Leading Ice Manufacturer in St. Louis

1969
The business moves into a block ice plant in St. Charles, where production increases to 500 large 300-pound blocks per day. These blocks are cut and bagged as cubed ice for delivery.
1973

The company moves into a facility and adds two more large ice makers to meet increasing customer demand.

Today
Arctic Ice now produces up to 270 tons of ice per day and serves more than 3,500 customers throughout Missouri and Southern Illinois. With continued investment in innovation, equipment, and logistics, Arctic Ice remains a leader in ice manufacturing across the region.
